I lead the delivery of enterprise systems and digital products in complex, multi-country, multi-vendor environments. For most of the past fifteen years I have held the position that matters most on programmes of this kind: the single accountable point of coordination between the party funding the work, the vendors implementing it, and the institutions that have to operate it afterwards.

At VisionFund International I directed a USD 1 million digital transformation programme spanning 28 institutions in 15 countries, holding the integrated schedule, the risk register, the vendor relationships and the reporting line to international executive leadership. I served as Interim Chief Technology Officer during part of that period. The programme included core banking migrations and upgrades across four platforms, among them Temenos T24, Musoni and MIFOS. Delivery of that kind is vendor-led, integration-heavy, governed by a steering committee, and won or lost at User Acceptance Testing and cutover.

I am based in Nairobi. I serve on the Board of Postbank Kenya with oversight of digital product transformation and customer experience, and on the board of Inuka Microfinance Kenya. Sitting on the receiving side of steering committee reporting is the fastest way to learn what makes it useful.
