Overview

WomenHub Academy builds AI powered digital products while developing the next generation of women product leaders. HarakaFoods is the flagship product: an automated marketplace for near expiry food that matches surplus with subscribers through AI generated notifications.

The Problem

Surplus near expiry stock is discarded while price sensitive households go unserved. The venture had to prove the model quickly with a small team, which called for iterative delivery and measurement rather than a fixed multi stage plan.

My Role & Delivery Leadership

Product owner and delivery lead. Set the outcome based roadmap, maintained and prioritised the backlog, ran the sprint cadence, and owned release decisions and the measurement of adoption and execution performance.

Key Challenges & Solutions

Ensuring output accuracy for food safety information

Constrained prompt structure with four fixed parameters, verified each sprint against defined acceptance criteria.

Reaching food insecure communities

Channel agnostic delivery with a prioritised backlog item for messaging channels in markets with low email penetration.

Outcomes & Impact

  • Sub one minute automated execution: Complete workflow from trigger to personalised delivery in under 60 seconds.

  • Personalisation at scale: Each subscriber receives tailored notifications based on preferences and budget.

  • Women's tech leadership pipeline: The academy trains women in AI product delivery from concept to deployment.
